Hello, my name is Brian Pitts.  I live in Birmingham, Alabama with my wife of five years, Renee.  I am a 1996 graduate of Samford University  and am currently employed as a Family Care Specialist with Impact Family Counseling. 

     How many times have you sat down around the dinner table or had friends over to the house and everyone wound up telling funny stories?  If you are anything like me, plenty.  I remember spending hours each week  around the oak table in our family's kitchen, swapping stories and experiences from the day.  It was during these times of laughter, while the green beans and mash potatoes were getting cold, that I began to learn an art, the art of storytelling.  Storytelling, whether in word or song, conveys ideas in a unique and universal  way.   No matter our history or culture, we all have stories.  Whether they make us laugh or cry, stories bring back the faces, the feelings and the experiences of our lives.  They offer windows to the past, helping us to connect with ourselves and therefore, prepare us for the future.
     Three Peas in a Pod, Along the Way and the poetry that I have selected to publish on this site, are my attempts to share with you, the listener, the stories of my life.  Each one speaks using a different form, but each is based on the essential element of communicating experiences.
